Woody Harrelson is a tireless fan after a man refused to take and remove one-sided photos of the Cheers stars during an incident at the infamous Watergate Hotel in Washington DC on Wednesday. Witnesses say he killed.
The actor allegedly hit a man while he was with his daughter at the hotel’s rooftop bar, above the gate, and he fled to the hotel room.
Police said that after absconding from the spot, the man, who was arrested after cross-examination at the hotel, is being searched.
However, Harrelson was not charged in the case, as investigators said he acted “in self-defense”.
The actor, who filmed outside the Watergate Hotel on Tuesday, is in Washington, filming the HBO series following the Nixon administration’s infamous Watergate scandal.
Taken outside Watergate earlier this week, Harrelson struck down a tireless fan who allegedly pounced on her while out to dinner at a hotel bar on Wednesday night.
Harrelson was not charged in the case, as investigators say the star was in “self-defense.”
The actor took a picture with co-star Justin Theroux on Tuesday outside the Watergate scandal. He was allegedly attacked a day earlier.
According to the police, a man (police says he is drinking and he is yet to be identified) approached an actor and asked him to remove multiple pictures of him and his daughter.
“Harrelson contacted the person and demanded that the photo be removed,” Dustin Sternbeck, director of public relations for the Metropolitan Police Department in the District of Columbia, said in a statement after an incident Wednesday at 11 p.m. Rice field.
Later, Harrelson argued verbally that he was “a man who was allegedly running towards the actor trying to hold his neck,” a public affairs report said.
Before he could kill him, Harrelson had already killed the man.
The actor told the police based on the scene that he had killed a man in self-defense.
Several people present in the rooftop lounge witnessed the attack.
The 60-year-old actor announced in 2017 that he had given up marijuana after decades of “getting too much of a party.”
Harrelson, 60, is the father of three daughters, 28, 25 and 15.
It is not immediately clear which daughter Harrelson was having dinner with when the feud broke out.
The man then ran away from the star to his hotel room.
Police say the man was cross-examined in a hotel room after the fight, but investigators believe Harrelson acted “in self-defense,” according to Sternbeck. ..
Harrelson, 60, was not charged in a case that happened around 11:00 p.m.
According to DC Police, the names of others involved in the fight will be announced as soon as they are announced.
However, Harrelson claims a somewhat scrutinized history when it comes to the law.
The incident between Harrelson and an unidentified man took place at the top of the Gate rooftop bar of the famous Watergate Hotel.
In 2017, he admitted that he quit smoking marijuana after decades of calling the party “too strong”, but said he would drink “moderately” from time to time.
In 2008, TMZ photographer Josh Levine filed a proceeding on suspicion of assault against an actor outside a Hollywood nightclub in 2006. A video of the incident shows Harrelson holding Levine’s camera and then assaulting the photographer.
A Los Angeles prosecutor refused to charge the actor, and the case was dismissed two years later.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said he was arrested in London in 2002 for “criminal damage to a black taxi in the Waterloo Place area and then escaping from the vehicle”.
He was then chased by the police, arrested that day and freed.
In 1982, Harrelson was arrested in Columbus, Ohio for protesting chaotic behavior and arrest after being arrested by police for dancing in traffic and escaping a police van.
Then he got into a physical fight with the policeman who was following him.
Harrelson paid a $390 fine for the case—and there was no jail time.
In Washington, actors are filming the HBO series about the Nixon administration’s infamous Watergate scandal and the breaking into the Democratic National Committee headquarters of a famous hotel.
It was not immediately clear who called the police after the fight, but the Metropolitan Police Department said the investigation was still ongoing.
