Spurs legend Manu Ginobili returns to franchise in front office role

San Antonio – Spurs legend and four-time NBA champion Manu Ginobili is back in the franchise in a front office role.

Spurs announced on Friday that Ginobili has been appointed as a special advisor for basketball operations. He focuses on developing the players on and off the court.

Ginobili returned to Spurs after a 16-year playing career at San Antonio. He is the greatest leader in Spurs history with three pointers (1,495) and a steel (1,392).

Ginobili’s career win rate of 0.721 is the highest in NBA history (minimum 1,000 games).

The 23-year-old Argentine professional Ginobili is one of only two players in basketball history to have won a Euro League title, an NBA championship and an Olympic gold medal.

He is also a member of the famous Spurs “Big Three” along with Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. They are the strongest trio in NBA history.
