Police responded to a shooting at an Altus Design District apartment at 1516 Inspiration Drive, northwest of downtown Dallas, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

DALLAS – An 18-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in the Dallas Design District on Thursday afternoon, police said.

At about 3:30, police responded to a shooting at an Altus Design District apartment at 1516 Inspiration Drive, northwest of downtown Dallas.

When they arrived, they shot the victims on the second floor of a parking garage, according to a police news release. Dallas Fire Rescue took him to the hospital.

About an hour later, the police received a call saying that two people with bullet injuries had been admitted to the hospital.

Officers later determined that the two men were involved in a shooting at the Altus Design District apartment.

One man, Darius Ali Claiborne, died in a shooting. It was unclear whether Claiborne was one of those admitted to the hospital or if police found her in her apartment.

The condition of the other two people is unknown and police did not provide details on how the firing took place.
