No conference has a better quarterback or better quarterback game than the SEC, as the nation has several top passers who lead teams at or near the top of the power rankings of the preliminary college football playoffs.
Along with Bryce Young, Matt Coral and JT Daniels, the league dominates this week’s list of the best quarterbacks in the Football Bowl subdivision. In total, the trio made 29 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in 10 games, all won.
Daniels was very productive in the South Carolina and Vanderbilt Routes, after finishing second ahead of Georgia in 19th Clemson in the opening round and missed the Bulldogs’ win over Alabama-Birmingham with a diagonal injury.
No. 1 Alabama and No. 12 Oremis will meet on Saturday at high stakes related to the SEC West and playoffs. The influence extends to the Heisman Trophy, where Young or Coral plays a major role in the post-season hardware competition.
1. Alabama, Bryce Young
Young threw his first passcut in 144 career attempts in a 63–14 victory over Southern Mississippi, Alabama. Technically, only one of his 22 throws was caught. Young completed 20 finishes for 313 yards, scoring a career-best 5 touchdowns. He threw at least three touchdowns on each of the four.
2. Matt Coral, Ole Miss
What will Coral do for Angkor after breaking down Alabama’s defense at last year’s meeting? The Tide was eventually pulled to a 63–48 victory, but the Corral finished 21 of 28 trials with 365 yards and two touchdowns, leaving an additional 40 yards on the ground. I did As a passer and runner, he stood out in the rebounds with a 3–0 start.
3. JT Daniels, Georgia
Even though he was rarely needed in Georgia’s 62-0 win over Vanderbilt, this list has enough sample size for Daniels. Over the course of two SEC games, Daniels hit 78.1% of throws with five touchdowns as the Bulldogs continued to join Alabama to move away from the rest of the pack.
4. Desmond Ryder, Cincinnati
On Saturday, the Raiders and No. 8 Bearcats will face No. 7 Notre Dame in one of the biggest games of the regular season. In seven career games against the Power Five, including a win against India this month, Lieder has 106 of 174 throws, 1,105 yards and seven touchdowns, 236 rush yards and four. You have completed the score.
5. Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh made 1,342-yard passes and 15 scores in four games, challenging Pittsburgh’s pass record and ending his career as the program’s best quarterback since Dan Marino. He runs with a single season record of yards (3,679) and touchdowns (37). He’s shy of 58 finishes, 194 attempts, 25 touchdowns, and 1,941 yards in a Panthers career. The leap that Piquet made in his final season has his team in the mix for the ACC Coastal Championship.

6. Dorian Thompson-Robinson, UCLA
Thompson-Robinson threw 251 yards and scored a total of four, including the second game of her career, where the Bruins scored several touchdowns on the ground while rebounding to beat Stanford 35–24 in the Pac-12 opener. I got a score. The senior is the first UCLA quarterback since Josh Rosen in 2017 to throw more than 250 yards in three consecutive games.
7. Jake Heiner, Fresno
Hainer’s worst match 3 was a 31–24 loss to the 21st Bulldogs in Oregon, where he completed 69.8% of his throws for 298 yards and touched down without a hitch. It was such a year for the former Washington transfer, who scored 378 yards and five touchdowns on a close phone call with UNLV on Saturday, evolving into a legitimate NFL Draft outlook. And it’s too late. Heiner completed 78.1% of the passes in the second half with 816 yards and 8 points, and 9 times in 25 yards.
8. Tanner Mordecai, SMU
There is a turnover problem. Mordecai already has two games to go with as many intercepts, but SMU has won four straight games and hasn’t stopped running in the top 25. The previous Oklahoma transfer led FBS with 20 touchdowns and is one in five. A group of 5 quarterbacks with 10 or more touchdowns while completing at least 70% of the tests.

9. Sam Hartman, Wake Forest
Hartmann went beyond sour finishes last season, suffering two brutal defeats to Louisville and Wisconsin, undefeated to number 25 Wake Forest by September. He won double-digit wins against Florida State University and Virginia, scoring five goals in a single attempt, scoring 529 yards for 8.8 yards.
10. Sean Clifford State of Pennsylvania
The starter number for 3 years is six. The Nittany Lions are playing the best football of their career to top the Big Ten. Clifford completed 47 of 58 trials with 685 yards and 6 touchdowns in victories over Auburn and Villanova, scoring 1,162 yards in one test and 8 for 9.7 yards in four games. I understood. He has made his previous career best in all major categories since Trace Maxorley in the home stretch in the 2017 season as well as being a Pennsylvania State quarterback.
