Castle Hills, Texas A twenty-year-old man was detained by police after he was chased by a small car on the north side of town late Tuesday, according to Castle Hills police.

Police said that at around 11:30 pm, the police tried to drag a suspected drunk driver into the circle of 410, but the vehicle slowed down.

Police said the car eventually exited Loop 410 to Northwest Military, turned in the opposite direction and finally onto the access road to Blanco Road.

The chase ended after the driver hit the curb at the Park North parking lot. According to police, the driver collided with both a tree and a utility pole before the final stop. No one got injured.

A CHPD police officer arrested the man and found marijuana and a gun in the car.

Police said the man was charged with escaping police officers, drunk driving and possession of controlled drugs.
