Amari Daniels Baylor has been missing since Thursday night. Police report that he and his family may have been taken to a stranger while they were at the event center.
PEARLAND, Texas – Police said an Amber Alert was issued to a missing 6-year-old boy who was abducted in Pearland on Thursday.
The boy’s name is Amari Daniel Baylor. He is 4 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 60 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen in a white Adidas shirt, black Nike pants and red Nike shoes.
According to Pearland Police, Amari was taken at around 7:50 p.m. and her mother and two brothers were at the Westside Event Center at 2150 Country Place Parkway.
Police said the mother had gone to inquire about the programs being given to her children. She reportedly went inside with one of the children, leaving Amari and the other child in the car.
While inside, two eyewitnesses reported that a woman took her child out of the car. According to Pearland Police, the woman boarded a silver or gray SUV with her child before driving to a parking lot on the south side of Country Place Parkway.
The woman is described as having long, straight dark hair. She is about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds, and appears to be about 30 years old. Witnesses did not find his license plate, but said he was wearing an orange shirt. According to the police, there is a triangular decal on the rear window of his car.
Amari is believed to be in serious or imminent danger, so call the Pearland Police Department (281-997-4350) for information on this incident.
