A large caravan of illegal immigrants is slowly moving through southern Mexico and rapidly approaching the United States border.
According to a report on Monday, immigrant caravans, mainly from Honduras and El Salvador, have traveled 16 miles to Tapachula, Mexico in the past 24 hours. The immigrants reportedly have humanitarian documents that protect them from being detained by Mexican authorities.
Caravan’s organizers call their efforts a “resistance” to international migration rules.
“We are going to protest, we are going to protest peacefully. We are not going to fight. We walk in peace in the name of God,” said the organizer of the migrant caravan. Luis Villagran said. “What we want is to draw attention to administrative immigration paperwork in accordance with the law.”

Mexican officials have said that immigrants seeking entry to the United States must remain in the southern states of Mexico until proceedings are filed. However, it seems that the caravan violates Mexican rules.
This is because a record number of illegal immigrants went to the United States under the leadership of Joe Biden.
