(Reuters) – US officials are investigating the possibility of insider trading and market manipulation on global cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Bloomberg News reported on Friday.

The report said investigators from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission were involved in the review and have been contacting potential witnesses in recent weeks.

“Binance has a zero tolerance policy for insider trading and a strict code of conduct for all forms of behavior that could adversely affect our customers and the industry,” Binance said in a statement.

The CFTC was not immediately available due to comments.
