(Reuters) – Days after the Biden administration mandated large companies to be vaccinated against COVID-19, insurer Unam Group on Thursday launched a new digital product that will help companies check employee vaccination status . Announced that it will be released.

Unum provides a self-service portal for employees to report vaccination status and upload documents. The portal also manages the documentation of test results for unvaccinated employees and sends weekly reminders and notifications to employers.

A new product called Unum Vaccine Verifier helps businesses manage vaccine exemptions for employees, including medical and non-medical exemption requests.

Last week, President Joe Biden announced a policy requiring most federal employees to be vaccinated with COVID-19 and encouraging large employers to vaccinate or test their workers weekly.

Unam has decades of experience in processing sensitive medical records and navigating regulatory details, and also manages employee vacations and many other HR technology solutions.
