Facebook whistleblower Francis Hogan, who leaked an internal investigation to both the Wall Street Journal and the US Congress, testified before a Senate subcommittee on Tuesday.
According to a recent Journal study, company executives understand the negative impact of Instagram among younger users, including suicidal tendencies. The document also revealed that 6% of US users followed the urge to commit suicide on Instagram, the Journal first reported.
Haugen took off his mask on Sunday before an interview with him on “60 Minutes.”
Last week, Facebook’s global security officer, Antigone Davis, testified before senators who concluded that Instagram shouldn’t be making apps for kids.
