OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canada’s antitrust watchdog said on Friday it had obtained a court order to investigate whether Google’s online advertising business was negatively affecting competition.
A court order from the Competition Bureau “requires Google to present records and written information relating to the Bureau’s investigation,” the statement said. “The Bureau’s investigation is ongoing and at this time there is no conclusion of fraud.”
