San Antonio – Many of us were hungry late at night, but unfortunately… most of the restaurants are closed. But don’t be afraid. Despite the time of night, there are still some places where you can take a bite.

We’ve compiled a list of restaurants that go great late at night in San Antonio. The recommendations are as follows:

Barbaro- You can stick to your typical delivery pizza, or if you want to take your pizza experience to the next level, check out Barbaro’s. The pizza joint offers pies such as carbonara style, roasted mushrooms, hash browns, clam casino, and pizza with clams and white wine sauce. The restaurant is open Monday through Sunday from 4 pm to 12 pm and is located at Barbaro’s 2027 McCullough Avenue.

Eric Tacos- Don’t go wrong with a taco at any time of day. Eric’s Tacos serves all types of tacos including al pastor, carne asada, barbacoa, rengua, and chicken fajitas. In addition to offering tacos, you can get tortas, burritos, and even burgers. The joint is open from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. Eric’s Tacos is located at 12715 Nacog Doches Road.


Buddha’s belly If you are looking for something to do, then this late night Chinese spot could be the perfect place for you. Buddhaful Belly “Sticks and Stones” is a pickup-only concept operating in Asian restaurants. The restaurant offers a variety of options, including fried pork ribs, sesame chicken, lemon chicken and lo mein. Buddhafull Belly is open from 9 pm to 12 pm. A pick-up restaurant is located at 5718B Wurzbach Road.

Halcyon- For the undecided, this late-night eatery has a little bit of everything. Halcyon offers all-day breakfast options such as biscuits and gravy, breakfast burritos and fried egg sandwiches. We also offer sandwiches such as Macaroni and Cheese, Stuffed Potatoes, Balsamic Chicken Sandwich, Brisket Sandwich and Classic Bacon Cheeseburger. Craft coffee and alcoholic beverages are also offered. Hurricane is open daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant is located at 1414 South Alamo Street.


Taco Allegarden- There’s always room for several late-night taco spots in San Antonio, with three locations to get that taco fix. Tacos Allegarden offers asada, pasta and chicken fajita tacos in mini and regular sizes. We also offer giant quesadillas, giant torta, and cupped corn. The food truck is open daily from 5 pm to 1 pm. Tacos El Reggio is located at 2726 N St. Mary’s Street, 12757 Nacogdoches Road and 427 Lombrano Street.

warm joy- If you’re in need of late-night drinks and food, this joint offers both. Hot Joy is an Asian fusion restaurant with options such as Spam Fried Rice, Lemon Pepper Curry Wings, Sesame Chicken, Brisket, and Broccoli. Combine one of the food and cocktails and really call it a night. The restaurant is open Monday to Sunday from 4 PM to 12 PM. Hot Joy is located at 1014S Alamo Street.


Alamo Hot Dog Co., Ltd- You can’t go wrong with the American classic hot dog. The Alamo Hot Dog Company offers just that, with Bacon-Wrapped Kosher Hot Dogs, Chili Cheese Dogs, and Jalapeno Chili Cheese Dogs. Hot dog carts are open on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 pm to 3 am. Business hours are from 7 pm. The train is closed on Sundays from 6 PM to 1 PM, Monday and Tuesday to Thursday from 6 PM to 12 PM. Alamo Hot Dogs can be found at 111W Crockett Street.
