Microsoft plans $60 billion share-buyback program, raises dividend

Microsoft Corp. The U.K. board approved a plan to buy back more than $60 billion of its stock, expanding the tech giant’s broader repurchase program at a time when congressional Democrats have proposed buybacks to tax-paying companies.

Microsoft did not provide a timetable for the buyback. It said Tuesday does not have an end date for the program and could be terminated at any time.
