Some users said they had problems accessing their products on Friday. It’s a mess after the social media giant was hit by an hour-long outage earlier this week.
“We know that some people have problems accessing our apps and products,” Facebook said in a Twitter post...
“We are trying to get it back to normal as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
A chart created by DownDetector, which tracks website outages, showed an increase in outage reports for companies such as Instagram, Facebook, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, which began just before 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
On Friday, the number of users affected by Facebook’s latest network issue was not immediately clear.
Facebook representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The company’s global outage on Monday left more than 2.9 billion Internet users out of access to tools like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook Sanger for nearly six hours. DownDetector has reported over 10.6 million problem reports from around the world. This is the largest ever detected by the platform.
Facebook on Monday attributed the global outage to a simple technical mistake made during routine maintenance.
